About the Project

This exciting project involves the construction of a large extension to the rear of Bushypark House, a protected structure and will open the building up to the mature near gardens belonging to the house whilst also minimising visual impact on the historical front building façade.

It will allow us to increase the quantity and quality of accommodation we provide plus will provide us with additional counselling rooms, training room and recreational and relaxation areas to enhance service delivery in Bushypark.

Family Recreational Space

As a result of a number of fundraising initiatives we have been able to construct a new family recreational space on the grounds of Bushypark. This project includes the installation of a play area including swings, see-saw, roundabout and play area. The project will be landscaped and designed to support children and clients to use play and activity as a method of engaging together during visiting time at the service and to help to rebuild positive relationships within the family unit.

Bushypark recognises the impact addiction and associated stigma has on children. In an effort to break down this stigma and to create a fun place for both clients and the children of their family members, we are delighted to have secured funding to develop this project from Clare Ladies Cycling Club (Main Sponsor), St Francis Credit Union, Mid-West Regional Drug and Alcohol Forum, Municipal District Ennis, and other private donors
